On-the-Job Injury and Illness Program
The Office of Risk Management administers the On-the-Job Injury and Illness Program for covered, work-related injuries and illnesses. The benefits, conditions and limitations can be found in the OJI Policy.
If you are injured on the job, please report the injury to your supervisor immediately. After doing so, you will need to complete the Injury and Illness Report and visit the Faculty/Staff Clinic at the University Medical Center. If you are prescribed medication related to your injury, you may fill it at any Tuscaloosa Drug location in town.
If your injury is an emergency, go as quickly as possible to the nearest emergency department. Then, as soon as you can, report the injury to your supervisor, complete the Injury and Illness Report, and contact Zachary Dutton (see below).
If you have questions about your job-related injury, or if you think you may have a covered job-related illness, please contact Zachary Dutton at 348-4535 or send an email to zjdutton@ua.edu.
